DJ Neptune’s professional career commenced in 2001 when he joined the ranks of Raypower 100.5 FM Lagos, Nigeria’s first private radio station. It was here that he began to share his musical prowess with a broader audience, and his star continued to rise.
In 2008, alongside rapper Naeto C, DJ Neptune played an instrumental role in reshaping Nigerian hip-hop. Together, they breathed new life into the genre and created a fresh, innovative sound that resonated with music lovers.
Throughout his journey, DJ Neptune has released several albums, including “Greatness,” “6ix of Clock,” and “Soldier Like Ma Papa.” His music has captivated audiences far and wide, and he continues to be a trailblazer in the industry.
His accolades and awards are a testament to his enduring influence, with recognitions such as the World DJ award by the Nigeria Entertainment Awards in 2008, Best DJ at the Behind Awards in 2009, and Best Nigerian DJ at the Dynamix All Youth Award. He has also been celebrated as the International Best DJ by the Africa Entertainment Awards in 2010 and won the International DJ award at the NPA Awards in 2011. His star power was reaffirmed when he clinched the World DJ award at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards again in 2012.
